Awakening the Economy During a Pandemic, PT IKPP Holds Knitting Training
PT IKPP through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program held knitting training for housewives in Tualang District.
The knitting training program held at PT IKPP's Abdul Wahid smart house that morning, was attended by 22 participants from sub-districts and villages in Tualang District. Murseno, CSR Public Affairs Manager of PT IKPP said that his party hopes this training can become a skill for housewives in Tualang District. According to him, the government is currently promoting the MSME sector, therefore knitting this into one of the micro business development projects. "Alhamdulillah, we can market their work at the Pekanbaru SKA Mall exhibition, and we have even marketed it to Jakarta," he continued. The chairperson and mentor of the knitting lady in Tualang District, Nely, expressed her gratitude for the knitting activities sponsored by PT IKPP CSR. "This activity is one of the positive things for mothers, besides being able to increase income, this program can also build friendships."
