ID Food will Strengthen Indonesia's Food Ecosystem

ID Food or Holding State-Owned Food Enterprises is expected to strengthen Indonesia's food ecosystem and supply chain from upstream to downstream.
The holding company, which is driven by PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero), is also directed to improve the welfare of farmers, ranchers, fish farmers and fishermen. This was raised in the launch of ID Food which was held at the Fatahillah Museum, Jakarta's Old City area, Wednesday (12/1/2022). The launch was carried out by Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir, Minister of Trade Muhammad Lutfi, Deputy Minister of BUMN Pahala N Mansury, President Commissioner of PT RNI Bayu Krisnamurthi, and President Director of PT RNI Arief Prasetyo Adi. ID Food is a combination of seven SOEs that handle food and two SOEs that have trade and logistics business lines. The SOEs are PT RNI, PT Pertani (Persero), PT Sang Hyang Seri (Persero) or SHS, PT Garam (Persero), PT Perikanan Nusantara (Persero) or Perinus, Perum Perikanan Indonesia or Perindo, PT Berdikari (Persero) , PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (Persero) or BGR Logistics, and PT Indonesia Trading Company (Persero) or PPI. Erick said that the food ecosystem is very important in Indonesia, both to meet food security and supply of raw materials, as well as to improve the welfare of farmers, ranchers, fish farmers and fishermen. Therefore, the presence of ID Food is expected to strengthen Indonesia's food ecosystem.
